Ginger porridge
Ginger porridge has a simple processing method, suitable for days when you want to change the taste or need a light, easy-to-digest dish.
Materials:
15g sliced fresh galangal
30-50g plain rice, seasoning to taste.
How to do it:
Put galangal in a pot with just enough water, bring to a boil and reduce heat to low for about 15 minutes. Strain off the residue, take the water to cook porridge. Wash the rice, put it in galangal water and simmer until the rice grains are soft. Season to taste and serve while still hot.
Ginger or tangerine peel combined galangal porridge
To make the porridge more fragrant, galangal can be combined with fresh ginger or tangerine peel. This combination creates a warm aroma, suitable for breakfast or snacks.
Materials:
15g fresh galangal
15g fresh ginger or 5g tangerine peel
40-50g plain rice, seasoning to taste.
How to do it:
Wash galangal and ginger (or tangerine peel), put in a pot and boil with water for about 15-20 minutes. Strain out the residue, use the collected water to cook porridge with washed plain rice. Simmer until the porridge is soft, season to taste and enjoy while still hot.
Ginger should be used in moderation so that the dish maintains a harmonious flavor. People with medical conditions or a special diet should consult a doctor or nutritionist if they want to use it regularly.
