On November 19, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Tung - Deputy Director of Bach Mai Hospital - said that on the afternoon of November 18, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and the Government working delegation inspected the construction investment project of Bach Mai Hospital Facility 2 and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital Facility 2 in Ninh Binh province.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Tung affirmed: Facility 2 of Bach Mai Hospital is ready to reach the finish line with the highest determination. To date, all 82 medical equipment in the project's direct procurement portfolio have signed contracts. Since November 12, many high-tech equipment such as CT, MRI, DSA, X-ray, ultrasound, hospital bed systems, etc. have been transported to the construction site and are being urgently installed. The items are expected to be basically completed before December 25, 2025.
In parallel with the construction progress, Bach Mai Hospital has developed a large-scale human resource plan, determining the minimum number of personnel to operate a new 1,000-bed facility to 1,154 people.
Currently, the hospital has recruited and provided advanced training for more than 600 doctors, nurses, medical technicians, and obstetricians. The hospital rotates at least 1/3 of the staff needed to operate a high-level medical facility from Hanoi as the core at Ninh Binh facility (this rate can increase depending on the actual situation). Up to now, 620 civil servants and employees have registered to work at Ninh Binh facility phase 1 (over 50% of the required human resources).
Issues on organization system, operating process, electronic medical records connection, HIS - LIS - RIS, health insurance examination and treatment mechanism, bidding, operating services... are ready to plan the operation plan when the facilities are handed over.
In particular, the Hospital has built an operating model of "one hospital - two facilities", ensuring unity in professional management, quality standards and connectivity in medical examination and treatment, health insurance and operations.
Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi and Bach Mai Hospital in Ninh Binh are a unified, synchronous, and interconnected body with special, specialized, and high-tech general medical quality, emphasized the Deputy Director of Bach Mai Hospital.
According to the Government's plan, the project will cut the ribbon for the construction component on December 19, 2025 and put it into partial operation.
