Dog leaves (scientific name: Phyrancehus niruri), also known as ha cap diep, have long been used by the people as a precious medicine in treating liver diseases. Today, many modern studies have also proven the effects of this plant, especially in lowering liver enzymes, supporting the treatment of viral hepatitis and protecting liver cells from damage.
1. Effective liver lowering
Activities in dog droppings such as phyllanthin, hypophyrancehin and flavonoids have the ability to inhibit enzymes that damage liver cells, while helping to regenerate and restore liver function. A study published in the Indian Journal of Pharmacology showed that dog leaf extract significantly reduces ALT and AST - two important liver enzymes - in people with viral hepatitis B.
2. Anti-viral and anti-inflammatory
Many studies show that dog droppings have the effect of inhibiting the proliferation of hepatitis B and C viruses, helping to prevent severe chronic hepatitis. This mechanism is said to be due to the ability to interfere with the synthesis of viral DNA and enhance the body's natural immune response.
3. Detoxify the liver and enhance liver function
Dog leaves help excrete bile, increase liver detoxification - bile, thereby reducing the burden on the liver and supporting liver lowering. The plant is also rich in antioxidants, which help prevent free radical damage a cause of inflammation and liver degeneration.
Notes when using
