Below are simple tips to help you form a habit of getting up early while still maintaining alertness and comfort throughout the day.
1. Create a relaxing habit before bed
A cool, quiet sleeping space and limiting the use of electronic devices before bed will help you fall asleep more easily. You can read books, write a diary or enjoy a cup of herbal tea to relax your body before bed. When your body is relaxed, waking up early will reduce fatigue.
2. Exposure to morning sunlight
Natural light in the morning helps the body recognize it's time to wake up and get active. Immediately after waking up, you should open the curtains, go to the balcony, or take a short walk to adjust your biological clock and increase alertness.
3. Exercise early during the day
Physical activities such as walking, cycling, or light exercise in the morning can help increase energy, improve mood, and support the establishment of a healthy sleep-wake cycle. Just 20-30 minutes of exercise each day can also bring positive effects.
4. Maintain fixed wake-up hours
Even on weekends, you should try to wake up at the same time as usual. Sleeping too long can disrupt your biological clock, making it difficult for your body to maintain the habit of waking up early in the following days.
