Support level for preventive medicine students from July 1, 2026

From July 1, 2026, students majoring in preventive medicine will be applied a new level of support according to regulations, opening up many favorable conditions in the learning process.

From July 1, 2026, students majoring in preventive medicine will enjoy many support policies on tuition fees, living expenses and scholarships according to new regulations in Decree 165/2026/ND-CP.

According to Clause 3, Article 86 of this Decree, the support level for students majoring in preventive medicine is implemented according to many different policies of the Government.

Tuition support

Students majoring in preventive medicine will be supported with tuition fees according to the provisions of Decree 238/2025/ND-CP on tuition policies, tuition fee exemptions and reductions, and learning cost support in the field of education and training.

For students studying at private educational institutions in the health sector, learners will have to pay the difference between the actual tuition fee of the school and the support level from the State.

Support for living expenses

In addition to tuition fees, students are also supported with living expenses according to the provisions of Decree 116/2020/ND-CP and Decree 60/2025/ND-CP amended and supplemented.

This is a policy to support learners to reduce the financial burden in the training process.

Scholarships to encourage learning

The level of scholarships to encourage learning will be implemented according to the provisions of Decree 66/2026/ND-CP detailing a number of articles of the Education Law.

Scholarship consideration aims to encourage students to have good academic and training results in the learning process.

Notably, trainees working at commune-level health stations or preventive health facilities in difficult areas will receive monthly policy scholarships.

People working in border areas, islands, ethnic minority and mountainous areas or areas with difficult socio-economic conditions are entitled to scholarships equal to 80% of the basic salary/month.

People working in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions are entitled to scholarships equal to 100% of the base salary/month.
