On the morning of July 1st, at Phong Hien Secondary School (Phong Thai ward), Hue City People's Committee organized a launching ceremony for a peak period of periodic health check-ups or free screening for people in the period 2026 - 2030.
According to Hue City People's Committee, the program is implemented to concretize the Central Government's policies on protecting, caring for and improving people's health. The city has issued a plan to implement periodic health check-ups or free screening for people in the period 2026 - 2030 throughout the area.
The program aims to ensure that all people are managed and receive comprehensive, continuous and equitable health care; and at the same time shift from "healing" thinking to "proactive disease prevention", putting people at the center of health policies.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang emphasized that periodic health check-ups are not to find diseases but to detect risk factors and pathologies early from the early stages, thereby treating them promptly, reducing complications, reducing medical examination and treatment costs and improving the quality of life.
According to Mr. Giang, the implementation of the program is of great significance in the process of building Hue into a specialized medical center of the region and the whole country. Along with the two-level local government model, the construction and interconnection of Electronic Health Records will contribute to improving the efficiency of public health management, serving forecasting and health policy planning.
Leaders of the City People's Committee proposed that the health sector continue to improve professional quality, promote digital transformation, and effectively manage Electronic Health Records; and at the same time call on all levels, sectors, businesses and people to actively respond to the program, gradually forming the habit of periodic health check-ups, contributing to building a healthy and sustainable community.
