On October 8, Binh Duong Department of Health announced that it had inspected and handled administrative violations at 6 private pharmaceutical establishments in the province.
The violating establishments include: Minh Nhat pharmacy (Ward 3, Hoi Nghia Ward, Tan Uyen City); Hang Quang 6 Oriental medicine and herbal medicine retail establishment (at Group 3, Ward 6, Vinh Tan Ward, Tan Uyen City);
An Binh Oriental Medicine and Herbal Medicine Facility (Nguyen Van Tiet Street, Dong Tu Quarter, Lai Thieu Ward, Thuan An City);
Thang Long Pharmacy (14G3/4C, Binh Dang Quarter, Binh Hoa Ward, Thuan An City) and Minh Chau 8 Pharmacy (Tran Hung Dao Street, Dong B Quarter, Dong Hoa Ward, Di An City).
Binh Duong Department of Health said that the above establishments committed an administrative violation of trading in counterfeit goods in terms of value and use.
Each facility was fined 4 million VND. The additional penalty is confiscation of the exhibits. The remedy is to force the destruction of the exhibits and return of the illegal profits.
In addition, the Binh Duong Department of Health also discovered violations at the retail facility selling traditional medicine and herbal medicines Hao Quang 8 (in Ward 7, Uyen Hung Ward, Tan Uyen City). This facility violated two acts including trading in counterfeit goods in terms of value of use and function (joint pain pills) and buying and selling drugs and herbal medicines without a certificate of full eligibility for pharmaceutical business.
These two acts were fined 29 million VND; at the same time, the violated exhibits were confiscated and destroyed.
