The Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) issued a warning after discovering that the health protection food product Hong Hac Phuc Linh weight loss capsules contained harmful banned substances, while the distributor and producer denied any involvement in this shipment.
According to a report from the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Public Health, the product sample taken at Nhat Ngan Pharmacy (Lot No. 13, Cho Gao Trade Center, Cho Gao District, Tien Giang Province) tested positive for banned substances including Sibutramine, Desmethylsibutramine and Didesmethylsibutramine.
The product is labeled as: GMP 2024 Health protection food Hong Hac Phuc Linh weight loss follicle ( lo number: 01022024, Producer:9.02.2024, Medical Examination: 08.02.2027). The trader responsible for distribution is Phu Hung Me., JSC (address: No. 16, Lane 159 Lach Tray, Lach Tray Ward, Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong City), and the place of production is HADU Factory - branch of Hadu International Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (address: Lot CN20, Luong Dien Industrial Cluster, Luong Dien Commune, Cam Giang District, Hai Duong Province).
However, through verification by the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene of Hai Phong City and Hai Duong Province, both the above distribution and production units confirmed that they did not produce this batch of products.
Faced with signs of serious violations, possibly counterfeit goods, the Food Safety Department recommends that people do not buy or use products with the above information. If they discover a product in circulation, people need to immediately report it to the authorities for handling according to the law.
