On the afternoon of July 11, the military medical force of Song Tu Tay island (specifically Truong Sa area, Khanh Hoa province) received and organized an emergency emergency rescue for fisherman Bui Van Tra (born in 1978, from An Hai commune, Ly Son special zone, Quang Ngai province) - a crew member of fishing boat QNg 96093 TS, captained by Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh (from the same hometown).
At around 10:00 a.m. on July 11, while fishing at sea, Mr. Tra unfortunately slipped from a height of about 3m, hit the back of the boat hard and fell into the sea. After receiving first aid and first aid, he was taken back to the ship with severe pain in the lumbar and difficulty moving.
At 2:15 p.m. the same day, the victim was taken to Song Tu Tay island infirmary. Here, doctors and nurses diagnosed Mr. Tra with severe soft tissue injury in the left lumbar area, suspected muscle - bone - joint damage, and needed to monitor complications of internal organs and urine.
Immediately, the medical team on the island deployed emergency measures including: IV, pain relief, anti-edema, stretching and closely monitoring the progress. By late afternoon, Mr. Tra's health was basically stable and he continued to receive medical care at the island infirmary.
According to the representative of the military medical force, if not detected and treated promptly, this injury can seriously affect the fishermen's motor and visceral functions.
The successful rescue of fishermen in distress in the offshore waters continues to affirm the important role of the frontline island military medical force in protecting the health and lives of fishermen - the "lifelines" in the East Sea. At the same time, it demonstrated a sense of responsibility and affection between the army and the people in the wind and waves.
