On September 23, the Quang Binh Department of Health said it had just inspected compliance with legal regulations on medical examination and treatment, cosmetic services, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and functional food business in the whole province.
Accordingly, Quang Binh currently has 281 non-public medical practice establishments granted operating licenses; 788 pharmaceutical production and trading establishments granted certificates of eligibility for pharmaceutical production and trading.
The interdisciplinary inspection team inspected 35 establishments: 2 medical practice establishments; 7 pharmacies; 26 spa and beauty services.
Regarding medical practice facilities, at the time of inspection, some facilities had unscientific arrangements of personnel records; 1 facility did not fully list the prices of medical examination and treatment services.
For pharmaceutical establishments: some establishments use drug management software that does not update information completely. Drugs are not arranged neatly, and the pharmacy counter and pharmacy are not clean. Two establishments list retail prices in Vietnamese Dong, which are not complete at the drug sales location of the pharmaceutical business establishment.
Through inspection, the delegation discovered some shortcomings and warned 10 establishments, fined 6 establishments with a total amount of 55 million VND.
6 establishments were administratively sanctioned, including: Tam An ENT Clinic (Minh Hoa District) was fined 2 million VND for violating the regulation on incompletely posting prices for medical examination and treatment services; 2 establishments of Long Chau Pharmacy (1711 in Bo Trach and 1683 in Tuyen Hoa) violated the regulation on incompletely posting prices at the drug sales location of the pharmaceutical business establishment, and were fined 8 million VND; 3 cosmetic establishments in Dong Hoi City were fined a total of 45 million VND: Casa International Cosmetics, Korea Premium International Cosmetics Institute, Mega Korea Cosmetics Institute violated: Advertising using the words "best", "number one" without legal documents to prove as prescribed.
The Department of Health of Quang Binh province recommends that the inspected facilities overcome the shortcomings and defects mentioned above; request compliance with legal regulations in medical examination and treatment, pharmaceutical business, cosmetics, functional foods, and spa and aesthetic services.
At the same time, the Health Department of districts, towns and cities will strengthen the inspection of private medical and pharmaceutical establishments and spa and beauty services in the area; organize communication, training and guidance on professional activities to improve the effectiveness of management work.
