    Quang Binh - The provincial Department of Health withdrew the level 2 biosafety announcement for 3 laboratories that did not ensure conditions in Dong Hoi City.

    On April 2, the Department of Health of Quang Binh province announced that it had just issued a notice to withdraw the announcement of biosafety-standard laboratories at level 2 for 3 medical facilities in Dong Hoi city due to not ensuring the conditions according to regulations.

    The 3 units that were withdrawn were announced: Medic Quang Binh Labor betterment room (15 Huu Nghi street, Nam Ly ward), Minh Anh General Clinic (81-83 Ly Thanh Tong, Loc Ninh commune) and Quang Binh Friendship Hospital Company Limited (78 Huu Nghi street, Nam Ly ward).

    Previously, implementing the post-inspection plan for facilities that self-declare meeting biosafety standards, the Department of Health established a direct inspection team at the 3 laboratories mentioned above. Through checking records and actual conditions, the team noted that all 3 units did not fully meet the requirements for biosafety level 2.

    The Department of Health recommends that facilities quickly overcome and supplement the conditions according to regulations, and only announce them themselves after fully completing the professional requirements.
