On the morning of May 10, Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh - Director of Ha Tinh CDC said that a dengue fever outbreak had just been detected in Lien Phu residential group, Hoanh Son ward. A week after the first case was detected, this outbreak has already had 5 people infected.
According to Mr. Thanh, immediately after detecting the dengue fever outbreak in Hoanh Son ward, the unit sent forces to closely monitor and fully implement professional technical measures according to regulations; guide the process of handling the outbreak, spraying chemicals; and at the same time propagate to people about prevention measures.
According to the Director of Ha Tinh CDC, previously, the first dengue fever outbreak in 2026 was detected on April 6 in Hop Tien residential group, Vung Ang ward. To date, this outbreak has caused 53 cases.
In the outbreak in Vung Ang ward, the number of cases has decreased but not completely. In the past 10 days, there are still 3 cases. Epidemic prevention and control work has been and is continuing to be focused on implementation," Mr. Thanh shared.
According to Mr. Thanh, with the dengue fever epidemic, in addition to the proactiveness of the health sector, it requires Party committees and local authorities to decisively intervene in leading and directing epidemic prevention, especially inspection and supervision at each household, thoroughly handling each breeding ground of larvae.
Organizations and unions promote the role of propaganda and mobilization of members and union members to actively participate in epidemic prevention activities, considering this a regular and continuous task.
