Many people believe that fasting helps detoxify and lose weight effectively. In fact, fasting for a long time or drinking only juice can cause muscle loss, fatigue, low blood pressure and metabolic disorders. The body has a mechanism to detoxify itself through the liver, kidneys, lungs and digestive system - no need for extreme measures.

However, Dr. Nguyen Trong Hung, National Institute of Nutrition said: To lose weight safely, women should not skip meals but need to eat enough nutritional groups and control food intake appropriately.

According to Dr. Hung, cutting out starch or skipping meals can be harmful to your health, causing your body to feel tired and overeat at the next meal. Breakfast is especially important to provide energy for the new day.

Instead of fasting, women should reduce their portion sizes, choose healthy foods, limit fried foods, sweets, and eat lots of green vegetables to add fiber. Eating slowly and chewing thoroughly helps the body feel full longer.

In addition, you need to get enough sleep, avoid staying up late and maintain exercise. Walking, jogging or any physical activity helps burn energy and effectively supports weight loss.

The human body has a mechanism to detoxify itself through the liver, kidneys, lungs, and digestive system. Fasting or only drinking juice does not provide enough nutrients, easily causing muscle loss, fatigue, low blood pressure, and even metabolic disorders.
