Talking about food safety and hygiene inspections at wedding restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Pham Khanh Phong Lan - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety said that the unit has issued and implemented a plan to inspect the compliance with legal regulations in the field of food safety in the area for food production and business establishments, food service business, including wedding restaurant. The unit will strengthen inspection work.

According to the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety, in the past time, the unit has maintained regular inspection work. At the same time, organizing training classes for food service business establishments.

Previously, the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) received a report from the newspaper about the kitchen area of the Adora Conference and Wedding Center not ensuring food safety and hygiene conditions. The Food Safety Department requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety to urgently implement many inspection and handling measures.

The unit requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety to organize inspections and verifications of compliance with food safety regulations for Adora Conference and Wedding Center. At the same time, expand inspections for event organizations and food service businesses in the area to promptly detect and strictly handle violations (if any).

Tightening food safety during the 2026 Lunar New Year

In order to ensure food safety to serve people celebrating the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and participating in the 2026 Spring Festival, the inter-sectoral Steering Committee for Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City has implemented a plan to ensure food safety throughout the city. The peak period lasts until the end of March 20.

According to Ms. Phong Lan, the general goal of this peak period is to ensure food safety in production, processing, business and use of food.

At the same time, strengthen control, promptly prevent the production and trading of fake and poor quality food; ensure food circulation in the market is safe; prevent and minimize the risk of food poisoning during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and the 2026 spring festival season.

In which, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety provides information, education, communication, training, and updates on food safety knowledge, legal regulations on ensuring food safety. At the same time, promote information and propaganda about the risk of food poisoning and food poisoning prevention.

Establish inter-sectoral inspection teams to organize food safety inspection and supervision at agricultural and food wholesale markets, food production and business establishments, and food service establishments during the Lunar New Year and spring festivals of 2026.
