Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co - Director of Bach Mai Hospital emphasized the desire to build a smart hospital, in which AI and digital technology are comprehensively applied in diagnosis, treatment, management and towards completely automating the operating process.

The hospital aims to connect national health data, build digital health records for people, create a foundation to promote research and improve the quality of health care. When there is a Big Data warehouse that is standardized, Vietnam will have the opportunity to promote research and publish major scientific works" - Mr. Co shared.

On FPT's side, Mr. Truong Gia Binh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Corporation affirmed: The medical industry is the field that contains "core elements for the development of technology".

Artificial Intelligence develops thanks to human language and knowledge. FPT wishes to accompany Bach Mai Hospital in the journey of mastering technology and developing an AI platform to serve Vietnam's healthcare" - Mr. Binh emphasized.

The Group is committed to devoting all its efforts, all its mind and all its heart to realizing the cooperation agreement, aiming to reduce the workload for doctors and nurses, while improving the quality of people's health care.

According to the agreement, the two sides will cooperate comprehensively in four key areas including: Comprehensive digital transformation of hospitals; application of AI in medical examination and treatment; health care for staff and the community; training and development of medical human resources.

As a special-class and end-of-line general hospital in the North, Bach Mai Hospital currently receives 8,00010,000 patients per day, with 2.6 million outpatient visits and 250,000 inpatients per year.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co, digital transformation has brought about clear results: Previously, the hospital used up to 100kg of paper and a series of film each month. Thanks to digitalization, Bach Mai saves hundreds of billions of VND each year and improves the patient experience. The hospital aims to become a center for training doctors - medical technology engineers, a convergence of Vietnamese medical and technological intelligence.

With more than 23 years of accompanying the health sector, FPT aims to build a comprehensive digital healthcare ecosystem, providing solutions for management agencies, medical examination and treatment facilities, pharmacies and people, while developing AI and remote healthcare applications to help personalize health care services.
