On May 25, Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health said that it had directed medical facilities, hospitals and related units to proactively admit, rescue, and treat people suspected of food poisoning after eating bread at L.H. shop on Hung Vuong street, Quy Nhon Dong ward.
The Department of Health requests medical examination and treatment facilities in the Quy Nhon area and places that receive patients related to the incident to fully prepare human resources, medicines, intravenous fluids, medical supplies, emergency vehicles, hospital beds and necessary conditions to treat patients.

Organize traffic diversion, quickly assess the patient's condition immediately upon admission; especially pay attention to cases with symptoms of abdominal pain, vomiting, frequent diarrhea, fever, dehydration, electrolyte disorders, elderly people, children, pregnant women and people with underlying diseases for timely treatment.
In cases exceeding professional capacity, units must urgently hold consultations and transfer them to a safe level, absolutely not to delay emergency and treatment.
The Department of Health also assigned the Provincial Sub-Department of Food Safety and Hygiene to coordinate with relevant units to continue verifying, investigating, tracing the origin of food, taking food samples and specimens to clarify the cause of the incident.

According to the Gia Lai Provincial Sub-Department of Food Safety and Hygiene, as of 2:00 PM on May 25th, 75 cases were recorded hospitalized for treatment related to suspected food poisoning after eating bread at L.H. shop.
In which, Gia Lai Provincial Central Hospital received 46 cases; Hoa Binh General Hospital 7 cases; Quy Nhon Medical Center 14 cases; Binh Dinh Hospital 3 cases; Quy Hoa Central Hospital 3 cases and Tuy Phuoc Medical Center 2 cases.
Up to now, most patients have stabilized their health. Symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, fever, headache have decreased; patients are alert, have good contact and can eat lightly.
Currently, L.H. bread shop has temporarily stopped operating to focus on treatment and visiting patients related to the incident. Notably, Ms. N.D. H. L - owner of L.H. bread shop - is also among the cases being treated at the hospital.
As Lao Dong newspaper reported, on the morning of May 25th, Gia Lai Provincial Central General Hospital confirmed that it had received 39 cases suspected of food poisoning. Patients were hospitalized from the evening of May 23rd to 24th with symptoms of fever, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea...
Through initial reports, the patients all said that they had eaten bread at L.H. shop on Hung Vuong street before abnormal symptoms appeared, suspected of food poisoning.
Currently, it has only been determined to be suspected of food poisoning. The specific cause is still being checked and tested to clarify," this person said.
Recorded at the Department of Infectious Diseases, many patients are still tired, have abdominal pain and diarrhea.
Ms. N.T. T. D (born in 1981, residing in Quarter 1, Quy Nhon Dong ward) said that on the morning of May 22, she bought bread at L.H. shop for the whole family to have breakfast. In the evening of the same day, all 4 family members showed symptoms of vomiting, fever and diarrhea.
Treating in the same department, Ms. N.C.L (born in 1996, residing in Hoa Lac village, Cat Tien commune) said that the whole family of 7 people after eating bread all showed symptoms of abdominal pain, vomiting and had to be hospitalized for treatment, including 4 young children.
