Aspiration for a complete home
In the mountains and forests of Cao Bang, there are small fates that are having to endure loss and loneliness too soon compared to their age.
The two primary school students Ly Minh Quan (Hoa An commune) and Hoang Van Canh (Bao Lam commune) are stories that move people's hearts about disadvantages and the desire for family that has never stopped.
Ly Minh Quan has just completed his primary school program and is currently living with his uncle in Nuoc Hai town (now Hoa An commune). In 2019, a traffic accident took away his father - the pillar of the family.

A few months later, her mother left the village, leaving Quan to depend on her old and weak grandmother, and later her uncle's family.
The small house that was once full of members is now just a memory, devastated and degraded over time. Every time he offered incense to his father, Quan secretly prayed that his mother would return.
When suggested about going to the Social Protection Center to stabilize her life and study, she only shook her head: "I want to stay with you so that when you come back, I can find you". That simple wish makes adults feel suffocated.
Orphans in the mountains and forests
In a valley in the mountains and forests of Bao Lam commune, Hoang Van Canh - a student at Ma Nai school - also suffered a miserable life. Since I was a child, I lacked the love of my mother because she had left me. His father worked as a worker far from home, leaving Canh and his younger sister to be taken care of by his blind grandmother.
In early 2025, his grandmother was no longer able to take care of him, and Canh's father returned. But the tragedy came, on May 8, 2025, while picking up firewood on the mountain, her father unfortunately passed away.
Since then, Canh has officially become an orphan, living with his 5-year-old sister in a dilapidated wooden house, with no items worth more than 500,000 VND.

"At Canh School, I am friendly and very understanding. Once I wrote a letter about my father with all my love, the homeroom teacher shared.
In the special situation, the Trade Union of Pac Mieu Primary School called for support and gave him a savings book of 10 million VND and many necessities.
The People's Committee of the old town is also completing procedures to send the two brothers to the Provincial Social Protection Center to ensure their studies are not interrupted.
The stories of Quan and Canh are just two of many lives that are still silently enduring in the northern mountains. They are too small to suffer great losses, but they are too understanding when facing adversity.
Amid pain and deprivation, the eyes of Quan and Canh still shine with fragile hope. One is waiting for his mother to return, the other is quietly bowing his head to thank others for their love.

After Lao Dong Newspaper published articles about the above-mentioned incidents, readers from all over joined hands to help Canh and Quan. Hoang Van Canh has now been sent to the Cao Bang Provincial Social Protection Center. Here, Canh will be taken care of and go to school more fully and easily.
Through the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund, philanthropists have donated 1,410,000 VND to her, although not much, it is an encouragement from many kind-hearted people.

For Ly Minh Quan, benefactors supported him with a total of 12,200,000 VND, along with that, the Bonohos volunteer group represented by Nguyen Hoang Lien (Hanoi) came to his house to encourage him, give him gifts and express his desire to accompany Quan on his study journey.
"Today, when I came to give gifts to Quan, I brought some English books, Math, student books and clothes..." - Hoang Lien shared.

Throughout the conversation, Quan set a goal for the new school year with improved achievements. Hoang Lien and his volunteer group set a goal of accompanying Ly Minh Quan to make more progress in his studies.
Ms. Ly Thi Mieu (Ly Minh Quan's biological father) - shared: "The family would like to thank the benefactors for their help and the hearts they have shared with Quan and his family. Thank you Lao Dong Newspaper for being a bridge to connect people to know about situations like Quoc Quan".
