The tennis sport of the 33rd SEA Games only allows each country to register a maximum of 5 male and 5 female athletes.
After carefully considering the expertise, the Vietnam Tennis Team participating in the 33rd SEA Games was registered with 10 players including Tran Thuy Thanh Truc, Nguyen Thi Mai Linh, Ngo Hong Hanh, Chanelle Van Nguyen, Savana Ly Nguyen (female) and Vu Ha Minh Duc, Nguyen Minh Phat, Nguyen Van Phuong, Tu Le Khanh Duy, Dinh Viet Tuan Minh (male).
Vietnamese tennis aims to strive for medals at the 33rd SEA Games. Therefore, each player given an official spot to compete in Thailand is expected to ensure the best results.
Among them, tennis players Vu Ha Minh Duc and Tran Thuy Thanh Truc have just won the men's and women's singles championships at the 2025 National Championship.
Due to not participating in professional tennis programs this year, former national team player Ly Hoang Nam will not have a place to participate in the 33rd SEA Games. This is the first time in many years that Li Huangyan has been absent from the Southeast Asian Games.
The 33rd SEA Games tennis tournament will organize 7 events including men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles, men's team, women's team. We have won 5 medals (2 silver medals, 3 bronze medals) at the 32nd SEA Games in 2023 in Cambodia.
In the squad participating in the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnam Tennis Team still has players who competed in the 32nd SEA Games, Nguyen Van Phuong and Savana Ly Nguyen. Savana player Ly Nguyen won the bronze medal in women's singles and women's team event at the 32nd SEA Games.
