6 top female tennis players in Vietnam have participated in the national women's tennis tournament selection round to participate in the Billie Jean King Cup 2025 international tournament.

Immediately after the International Tennis Federation (ITF) authorized the reorganization of the Billie Jean King Cup Group III - 2025 (the previous tournament was postponed due to the conflict in Jordan), the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF) organized a selection round to select and add excellent female tennis players with stable performance to the national team to prepare for the tournament.

The selection round was opened on the morning of October 27, at the National Defense Sports Center II - Military Region 7 (HCMC), to select the best players to represent Vietnam to participate in the Women's World Team Tennis Tournament - Billie Jean King Cup Group III in Asia/Pacific 2025.

This round of selection aims to find the 2 best faces to add to the 4th and 5th positions in the official squad of the Vietnamese tennis team. The list of 6 athletes participating in the selection round includes: Dao Uyen My (HCMC), Tran Tchouassi Louise Natasha (HCMC), Vu Khanh Phuong (HCMC), Nguyen Thi Phuong (Hanoi), Dang Thi Hanh (Hai Phong), Nguyen Thi Mai Huong (Hai Phong).

Players will compete in a round-robin format to ensure fairness and objectivity in assessing professional capacity, fitness and actual performance. Previously, VTF officially announced the first 3 players called up to the National Women's Team to participate in the Billie Jean King Cup Group III - 2025, including: Nguyen Thi Mai Linh (Hanoi), Ngo Hong Hanh (Army) and Phan Diem Quynh (Army).

After the selection round, the Vietnam women's tennis team will be completed with the 5 most outstanding players, representing Vietnam to compete in the Billie Jean King Cup Group III 2025, taking place from November 10 - 15, 2025 at Novaworld Phan Thiet Stadium, Phan Thiet, Lam Dong Province.

The Billie Jean King Cup 2025 International Women's Tennis Tournament is an important international sporting event, where top female tennis players representing 10 countries compete: Vietnam, Laos, Maldives, Guam, Macau, Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Bhutan, Bahrain, Jordan. Organizing the tournament at NovaWorld Phan Thiet, Lam Dong is an opportunity for Vietnam to promote the image of the country, people and the development of the Vietnamese tennis movement to international friends.
