The tournament is held from May 16 to 17 to create a new, modern and professional playground for the sports-loving community in general and the Padel sport in particular in Vietnam. This year's tournament has a total prize value of 71 million VND, attracting 80 athletes to participate.
In 2026, VTF is expected to coordinate with units to organize 4 national-level Padel tournaments nationwide.
Besides the meaning of the movement, the first Vietnam Padel Open in 2026 also contributes to promoting the strong development of Padel - an attractive derivative sport of tennis that is developing rapidly in the world as well as in Vietnam.
Through the tournament, the Vietnam Tennis Federation not only wants to spread the spirit of dynamic and civilized sports but also aims to select and evaluate potential athletes for the Padel Vietnam Team in the journey of preparing for ASIAD 2026 and international arenas in the future," Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President cum General Secretary of VTF shared.
This year's tournament gathers a large number of domestic and international athletes with about 40 pairs competing living, studying and working in Vietnam participating in 7 competition categories including: Open Men's Doubles, Open Women's Doubles, Amateur Men's Doubles, Semi-Amateur Men's Doubles, Semi-Amateur Men's - Women's Doubles, Semi-Amateur Women's Doubles, Newbie Doubles.
The presence of many quality players and a determined fighting spirit has brought an attractive, professional and emotional competitive atmosphere throughout the tournament such as athletes Tran Tien Thinh (Army), Johnny Bao (Vietpadel), Phong Le (Vietpadel)...
