On the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Hanoi University of Science and Technology organized ACM ASIACCS 2025, aiming to promote international cooperation in research, contributing to affirming Vietnam's position in the international scientific community in the field of information security.
At the same time, this is the implementation of the viewpoint of Resolution 57-NQ/TW on "ensuring network security, data security, and information security of organizations and individuals is a consistent and inseparable requirement in the process of developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation".
Affirming Vietnam's rising position on the cybersecurity map
Speaking at the Conference, Associate Professor. Hoang Minh Son - Deputy Minister of Education and Training commented: "ACM ASIACCS is a leading prestigious scientific forum in the region and the world in the fields of cybersecurity, privacy protection and information security. The conference being held in Vietnam is a great honor and affirms Vietnam's increasingly high position in the international scientific community.
In the context of rapid global digital transformation, cybersecurity and privacy are increasingly becoming a top priority for countries, organizations and businesses. The risks and challenges in protecting digital infrastructure require in-depth scientific research and innovative approaches. I believe that research reports and professional discussion sessions at the conference will enrich the knowledge base and make an important contribution to improving understanding and research capacity in the field of cyber safety and security in Vietnam and the region".
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Professor Phan Duong Hieu - co-Chairman of the Conference emphasized: "Hosting AsiaCCS 2025 is an opportunity to help connect the domestic and foreign scientific communities; encourage international cooperation in training and research; create conditions and inspire the young generation of Vietnam to pursue science and technology in the field of cybersecurity. From the experience of organizing Vietcrypt 2006 and Asiacrypt 2016, we hope that successfully organizing this conference will create momentum to strongly develop the cybersecurity community in Vietnam. Vietcrypt 2006, Asiacrypt 2016 and now AsiaCCS 2025 - this series of events shows a long process of preparation and integration of Vietnamese scientists in the field of security. "In the coming time, as information mining systems become larger and larger, with explosive AI tools, protecting system safety and protecting the privacy of each individual will become increasingly important. Only when that is ensured can humans positively enjoy the fruits of science and technology in a free world".
"ideal time for the Vietnamese government to boost investment in science"
On the sidelines of the conference, Mr. Moti Yung - Senior Expert, leader of security science at Google and Columbia University, guest of honor at the Conference said: "This is the ideal time for the Vietnamese Government to increase investment in science. In which, AI and Cybersecurity must be developed together, complementing each other, only then will powerful tools like AI become useful. I am optimistic about technology, but I also want to protect my privacy to the fullest."

The conference was held to improve scientific knowledge and share outstanding research achievements of the world's leading researchers in the field of cybersecurity, while opening up new cooperation opportunities in the scientific community.

ACM ASIACCS 2025 is a forum for discussing and sharing updated knowledge in the field of information security from reports from leading experts in the world from the United States, China, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan (China). After the review and approval process, the Conference recorded 114 scientific publications, out of 558 submissions, with an acceptance rate of 20.4%.
The working program of ACM ASIACCS 2025 includes a main workshop session, along with 8 thematic workshops (workshops), including 2 new workshops, reflecting advanced research trends. In addition to scientific discussion sessions, the Organizing Committee also designed many social and cultural activities such as a tour of Bat Trang - the famous traditional pottery village and tours to experience Hanoi to help international scientists understand more about the indigenous culture of Vietnam.
