Elon Musk has just strongly opposed the spending bill proposed by President Donald Trump, threatening to establish a new political party called "USA" if the budget plan is approved by the US Congress.
On social media platform X, Musk wrote: The US National Party will be born right after the day this crazy spending bill is passed. The country needs an alternative to the "Democratic - Republican Federation" so that the people can truly have a voice". This statement implied criticism of both major parties in the US that are operating for their own interests rather than the interests of the people.
The statement comes as the US Senate is pushing for the approval of big and beautiful laws, a budget proposal that is seen as a foundation for implementing Trumps plans for his second term. However, this bill is facing great concerns about the possibility of increasing public debt, as the National Assembly's Budget Office assessed it would increase the budget deficit by about 3,300 billion USD in the next decade.
Mr. Trump argued that the bill would boost economic growth and help offset the lack of spending cuts. The President hopes the National Assembly will pass this bill before National Day on July 4.
However, Musk denied that view and did not hesitate to attack the supporters: Deputy candidates who pledged to reduce government spending but voted for the bill that caused the largest increase in public debt in history should bend their faces in disgrace! They will lose in next year's election, if that is the last thing I do on this earth."
This is not the first time Elon Musk has opposed the Trump administration's spending plan. In early June, he criticized the House of Representatives version of the bill, which strained the relationship between Musk and Trump. The two sides then made the dispute public on social media.
Although unable to run for president because he was born in South Africa, Elon Musk still emphasized the possibility of forming a new party as a means of expressing opposition to the current political system. This could shake the loyal Republican voters if it receives a widespread response.
