On the afternoon of January 26, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam received Ms. Men Sam An, Vice President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), representing CPP Chairman Hun Sen, to congratulate on the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
At the reception, General Secretary To Lam sincerely thanked King Norodom Sihamoni, Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party, Speaker of the Senate Hun Sen and the brotherly Cambodian People's Party for sending a Letter of Congratulations on the success of the 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The General Secretary emphasized that the 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is the opening Congress for a new era of development of the Vietnamese nation with the motto "Unity, democracy, discipline, breakthrough, development", showing steadfast will, aspiration to rise up and the strength of great national unity, determination to build a peaceful, independent, prosperous and happy Vietnam; setting out long-term goals and visions of the country.
The General Secretary congratulated Cambodia on its development achievements in the past and expressed his belief that under the wise reign of King Norodom Sihamoni and the correct leadership of the Cambodian People's Party led by President Hun Sen, the brotherly country of Cambodia will continue to achieve more great and comprehensive achievements.
The General Secretary affirmed that Vietnam always values relations with Cambodia as well as the solidarity and close relationship between the three countries Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia.
CPP Vice Chairman Men Sam An warmly congratulated on the good success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and at the same time congratulated Comrade To Lam on being trusted and elected by the First Conference of the 14th Central Committee of the Party to continue holding the position of General Secretary of the 14th Central Committee of the Party.
Ms. Men Sam An highly appreciated and sincerely praised the great achievements in all fields that the Party, State and people of Vietnam have achieved in the past time under the correct and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Vice President Men Sam An emphasized that maintaining and firmly maintaining comprehensive and friendly cooperation relations with Vietnam at all levels, Party, State, and mass organization channels is a consistent and long-term policy of the Cambodian People's Party.
General Secretary To Lam and CPP Vice Chairman Men Sam An expressed satisfaction that the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship in recent years has continued to develop strongly; believing that in the coming time, relations between the two Parties and the two countries will continue to be consolidated and strengthened for the benefit of the people of the two countries; affirming that Vietnam-Cambodia friendship is special and invaluable, and must continue to be maintained and nurtured.
