The latest weather forecast on July 2 from the National Meteorological Center (NMC) has raised the warning to gold with strong weather convection with northeastern China, northern China and eastern and northwestern China.
In particular, some areas in the north and central part of Heilongjiang province may record strong gusts of wind due to thunderstorms, with maximum winds of 117 km/h. Localized tornadoes are also forecast in these areas.
The bulletin of the China National Weather Service noted that some areas in the northeast, northern, northwest and southwest of China are forecast to have rain, with rainfall exceeding 20 mm/h.
In particular, some areas in Liuzhou, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, Guangdong and Hainan provinces are forecast to have over 50 mm/h of rain, with total rainfall exceeding 70 mm in places with heavy rain.
The strongest convection phenomenon is forecast to occur in the afternoon to evening of July 2.
The National Meteorological Center also extended a green alert with heavy rain from the afternoon of July 2 to the afternoon of July 3. moderate to heavy rain, some places with very heavy rain are forecast to be recorded in many places in Shandong province, Hebei, most of Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong province, Sichuan basin, Yunnan province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and part of northeastern China. Some areas such as the east of Hebei province and the northwest of Tu Xuyen basin are forecast to have extremely heavy rain, at 100 - 160mm.
Meanwhile, hot weather continues to spread in eastern and central China, with temperatures exceeding 37 degrees Celsius in some places in Hoang Hoi and Jiangnan. It is forecasted that next week, prolonged heat will continue to affect the regions of Hoang Hoai, Giang Hoai, Giang Han and Giang Nam, with temperatures in some locations possibly exceeding 40 degrees Celsius.
Previously, on July 1, the Beijing Meteorological Administration issued a warning of heavy rain, warning of widespread heavy rain in the Chinese capital from the afternoon of July 2 to the morning of July 3. Heavy rain is forecast in some places, with local maximum rainfall exceeding 30 mm/h accompanied by thunderstorms.
In Vietnam, the bulletin at 3:30 p.m. on July 2 of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that the North and Thanh Hoa regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy to very heavy rain, of which the rainfall from 7am to 3pm recorded in Tham Duong 1 (Lao Cai) was up to 105.2mm.
The center's forecast of heavy rain in the next 24-48 hours clearly states that in the evening and night of July 2, the Northwest and Thanh Hoa regions will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. Rainfall: 15 - 30mm, locally over 80mm.
In the evening and night of July 2, the Northeast, Central and South regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10 - 25mm, locally over 70mm.
From July 3, heavy rain in the North will tend to decrease. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
