According to VNA, former South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol still decided to appear at the Special Prosecutor's Office at 10:00 a.m. on June 28 (local time) to serve the investigation related to the accusation of declaring martial law.
According to the representative team, the decision was made after Mr. Yoon was asked to appear publicly at the Seoul High Procuracy in the Special Prosecutor's Office at 9:00 a.m. on June 28 (local time).
The request was made by the Special Prosecutor's Office.
After that, Mr. Yoon's lawyer proposed a plan to allow their customer into the office through the underground parking lot and postpone the appearance time to 10am.
However, this proposal was rejected by the Special Prosecutor's Office on grounds that it could be considered a special treatment.
A lawyer in Yoon's defense team asserted that Yoon's decision to appear on June 28 remained unchanged, although an agreement had not been reached on how to appear.
