Major meteorological models predict a noticeable weather change in North America in April: The "heat dome" accumulating for a long time in the western United States will move, bringing hot air exceeding the average for many consecutive days to the Central and Eastern United States, while creating conditions for widespread thunderstorms in many different areas.
According to AccuWeather, this warm air mass will cause temperatures in the East and Central United States to increase significantly, with many days of common temperatures in the range of 26-32 degrees Celsius, bringing the risk of thunderstorms and heavy rain when cold edges meet convection hot air. At the same time, the area that has experienced record heat in the West is forecast to welcome a cooler air wave, rain and snow in the mountains, partly easing the prolonged drought.
AccuWeather meteorologist Ryan Maue called this a "major paradigm shift", as the heat arch that had been "baking" the West for weeks is moving and forming new hot air in the East. A series of thunderstorms are also forecast to bring the necessary rainfall for drought-stricken areas in Central and Southeastern America.

Not only the world weather has major fluctuations, Vietnam has also been warned about the hot sun trend since April.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the beginning of April 2026, hot weather will continue to increase in intensity in the Southeast region, while expanding to the Central Highlands and Southwest regions.
In the Northwest region and the western part of provinces from Thanh Hoa to Hue, hot weather is likely to appear from around the beginning of April, then gradually expand to the entire North and Central regions from the end of May with increasing intensity.
The climate warning bulletin for the season from April to September 2026 also indicates that hot weather tends to increase from April and will expand strongly later, while thunderstorms, strong winds and even hail may appear during the transitional period (from April to May).

It is forecasted that from April 7-11, it will start to heat up nationwide (except for the Da Lat, Kon Tum, and northern mountainous areas bordering China). This heat wave is expected to be fierce compared to the same period, and may set a temperature record compared to the same period in early April of previous years.
The temperature in Hanoi and North Central regions can reach 39-40 degrees Celsius at 12-15h, the perceived temperature can reach 45-47 degrees Celsius.
