Even at the present time, there are still reasons to study opportunities to regain consensus on this issue in the future, when the conflict in Ukraine ends," the German MP added.
Also on the sidelines of SPIEF, Mr. Markus Frohnmaier said that maintaining good relations between Russia and Germany will serve the interests of the German people - who can directly benefit through more affordable energy sources.
We are interested in protecting the interests of Germany and policy making for the benefit of the people. Maintaining good relations with Russia and accessing fuel sources at reasonable prices is beneficial for the German people. That is what we are committed to pursuing," he said.
