Gazprom said it is overcoming the consequences after the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack on the Krasnodarskaya gas station, belonging to the Blue Stream gas pipeline.
Accordingly, Gazprom announced that the Krasnodarskaya gas station, a link in the Russian gas transportation system through the Blue Stream gas pipeline, was attacked by a drone at 7:51 pm, July 7, local time.
Gazprom believes that the purpose of the attack was to disrupt gas supplies from Russia to Turkey.
However, the Russian gas corporation said that response measures were deployed in a timely manner, thanks to which gas transportation still took place normally, without supply disruptions after the attack.
Gazprom is currently repairing damage to the gas compression station.
Information about the Blue Stream gas pipeline being attacked took place in the context of the NATO summit taking place in Ankara, Turkey, on July 7-8. The summit was attended by leaders of 32 NATO member states.
