Famous Thai hippo predicts the next US president

Moo Deng, a famous baby hippo in Thailand, has attracted attention for predicting that Donald Trump will return as US president.

As the US presidential election enters its decisive phase, Moo Deng, a four-month-old hippo at Khao Kheow Zoo in Thailand, has become the unexpected “prophet” of the race.

In a video posted online from the zoo, Moo Deng was presented with two fruit plates engraved with the names of the two candidates, and he chose the one with former US President Donald Trump's name.

Moo Deng, whose name means “jumping pork,” became a household name and internet celebrity thanks to his adorable appearance and mischievous antics. Netizens quickly fell in love with him, turning him into a meme icon and the inspiration for a variety of merchandise.

Notably, Moo Deng is not only a phenomenon in Thailand but also has a large fan base in the US. This hippo even appeared in a comedy show by actor Bowen Yang on the show "Saturday Night Live", and also won both Mr. Donald Trump and Ms. Kamala Harris in an informal poll on the show "The Tonight Show" with 93% of the vote.

Although the hippo's predictive ability has never been proven, Moo Deng is still considered an adorable prediction phenomenon similar to Paul - the famous octopus who correctly predicted the results of 8 matches at the 2010 World Cup.

Moo Deng's emergence as a special "prophet" has brought joy and excitement to global audiences during this year's election season.
