Military plane crashes into school, 1 person dies

One person died when a Bangladesh Air Force training plane crashed into a school in Dhaka.

The plane crashed into the premises of Milestone High School and College in Uttara, Dhaka on the afternoon of July 21.

The plane crash killed at least one person and injured many others, according to the military and a fire official.

The Bangladesh military's public relations office confirmed that the crashed plane was an F-7 BGI, owned by the Bangladesh Air Force.

Lima Khan fire officials confirmed that at least one person was killed and four others were injured in the accident.

Television images showed fire and smoke rising from the scene of the accident.

A spokesperson for Milestone said the plane crashed in the school gate area. A classroom had students studying there at the time of the crash. The injured are being taken out.

Rescue forces are deployed at the scene. Bangladesh authorities have also opened an investigation into the cause of the crash.
