According to TASS on September 8, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow has warned Ukraine that attacks targeting Russian civilian targets will inevitably lead to retaliatory blows with more serious consequences for Kiev.

Referring to how Moscow conveys messages to critics of Russia, Mr. Lavrov emphasized that the important thing is not in words but in the actual developments. He said Russia has used statements to issue clear and unmistakable warnings about a range of issues.
He believes that what is happening now is proof of those warnings.
Referring to the UK, the Russian Foreign Minister reiterated the statement of British Prime Minister Andy Burnham that this country will stand side by side with Ukraine "to the end".
