On February 25, according to an announcement from the Kalashnikov Group, the new system named Kub-10ME was completed in record time. This is Russia's first tactical patrol missile (suicide drone) with an operating range of over 100km, developed based on real-world experience from the special war zone in Ukraine.
The breakthrough of Kub-10ME lies in the modern optoelectronic guidance system, allowing the device to be able to accurately attack moving targets. Kalashnikov said that this system has also been upgraded with protection capabilities, helping the device operate effectively against enemy air defense systems and electronic warfare vehicles.
In addition to its attack capability, this new guided projectile is also equipped with an aerial filming and photography system to record travel data in real time. This helps the command post monitor, creating a great advantage in adjusting tactics on the battlefield.
The new suicide drone model is designed to destroy important targets such as light armored military vehicles, command posts, air defense facilities and many other strategic targets. With an expanded range, Kub-10ME allows the Russian army to attack targets deep behind the border without approaching dangerous areas.
Military experts believe that Russia's commissioning of this long-range guided missile will significantly change the situation of fighting in Ukraine. With optimized production costs (estimated at tens of thousands of USD per unit), this will be a weapon that puts great pressure on the enemy's defense system in the near future.
