President Donald Trump's re-election campaign announced on October 3 that it is launching a "Make America Great again" (MAGA), with a series of live and online election events held throughout the final month before the US presidential election on November 3.
In a press release, the campaign finance committee described the "MAGA Campaign" as "a full gathering of top-level representatives, campaign alliances and Donald Trump supporters to stand behind the president and carry out the campaign until the president returns."
"The MAGA campaign will activate everything to maintain President Donald Trump's re-election campaign at maximum speed until our Commander-in-Chief returns to the campaign," The Hill quoted Trump 2020 campaign manager Bill Steisten, who also tested positive for COVID-19 on October 2, as saying in a press release.
"Vice President Mike Pence, President Donald Trump's family, our alliances and supporters at our facilities will all strive to express the true enthusiasm behind the president's re-election, and show that we are working as hard as he has always been doing," Stepien stressed.
The " MAGA Campaign" will include online events before the vice presidential debate scheduled for October 7 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Live events will begin after the debate, with Vice President Mike Pence traveling to key battleground states.
Members of the presidential family, including Donald J. Trump, Jr., Eric Trump and Lara Trump, will also host a series of live events after the debate.
On October 3, the White House released the latest photos showing President Donald Trump working at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he is being treated for COVID-19.
White House doctor Sean Conley said earlier on October 3 that President Donald Trump has "made significant progress since being diagnosed with COVID-19".
Meanwhile, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, Donald Trump's opponent, said he did not want to "attack" the US leader when he was in illness, removing all negative advertisements about Donald Trump on television, and wishing the president a speedy recovery.
However, Mr. Joe Biden called President Donald Trump's COVID-19 test a serious warning about the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking during a trip to Michigan after both Trump and Trump Biden tested negative for COVID-19, the Democratic candidate called on the US people to do their part responsibly, wear masks, listen to experts, wash their hands and practice social distancing.
