On June 25, US President Donald Trump affirmed that his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the NATO summit in The Hague (Netherlands) did not mention a ceasefire in Ukraine.
President Trump stressed that a peaceful solution to Ukraine was not the subject of discussion, he just wanted to know about Zelensky's situation. I just want to know what he is like, Trump told reporters.
The US leader revealed that the solution to the conflict in Eastern Europe will be discussed further with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but did not specify when it would be implemented.
When asked about the commitment to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict within 24 hours of taking office that Mr. Trump has mentioned many times during his election and even after taking office, the 47th President of the US said it was just a "sury".
Mr. Trump also admitted that this is not easy as he believes that President Putin always has a tough stance while Mr. Trump's relationship with Mr. Zelensky is not good. I also have some problems with Mr. Zelensky, Trump said.

Notably, Mr Trump's statements came shortly after Zelensky described the sideline meeting with the US leader as "long and substantial," stating that the two had discussed ways to "reach a real peace".
This has led observers to question Zelensky's next move in the more than three-year conflict with Russia.
In another discussion with a British newspaper about the possibility of the US supplying patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, Mr. Trump said that this type of weapon is very difficult to find and Washington also needs them.
However, Mr Trump is said to be still considering when he said that the US is supplying patriot to Israel and will "see if we can provide some (to Ukraine".
