On the anniversary of the three-year war between Russia and Ukraine, a US Air Force B-52H Stratofortress strategic bomb squadron took a flight near the Russia-Belarus border, attracting international public attention.
According to online flight tracking data provided by The War Zone, the B-52H was in the sky of tallinn, the capital of Estonia, to participate in the country's National Day celebration event. However, in the context of current geopolitical tensions, the flight of the US strategic transport aircraft has special significance.
When flying over Tallinn, the B-52H joined the squad with 4 F-35A stealth fighters and 2 F/A-18 fighters. Of which, the F-35 fighters are believed to be from the Royal Air Force, while the two F/A-18s belong to the Finnish Air Force.
The appearance of this group of aircraft, especially the B-52H, has sparked many speculations, because the flight timing coincides with the 3rd anniversary of Russia's launch of a special military campaign in Ukraine.

The B-52H participating in this mission is on the payroll of the 5th Armed Forces Typhoon, stationed at Minot Air Force Station (North Dakota State, USA). It is currently one of two strategic aircraft models being deployed to the Royal Air Force base of Fairford (UK) under the US Air Force Special Forces for the Carrying of bombs (BTF) program.
Such deployments regularly serve missions in the Baltic Sea as well as areas of strategic significance, especially after the conflict between Russia and Ukraine broke out.
After flying over tallinn, the B-52H continued to move east, approaching Saint Petersburg (Russia). Public tracking data shows that the spacecraft was once only about 80km from the Russia-estonia border before changing course to the south.
On the return trip, the B-52H flew over Latvia and Lithuania, then entered Poland. At one point, it was only about 16km from the Polish-Belarus border before continuing its journey to the base.
The appearance of US strategic bombs near the Russia-Belarus border at this special time was considered by analysts to be a remarkable move, in the context of tensions between the parties that have not shown any signs of cooling down.
