Mr. Macron will be the first foreign leader to be welcomed by President Donald Trump during a state visit to the US.
The French presidential office released a photo of Mr. Macron in the Jupiter command tunnel under the Elysee Palace, eyebrowingly watching the Syrian attack with Defense Minister Florence Parly and military leaders.
Immediately, the photo was compared to a photo of former President Barack Obama in the White House situation room when Osama was killed by Laden during a US military campaign - according to the Telegraph.
Macron, who claimed to talk to Trump "every day", discussed Syria with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin just hours before the attack.
Less than a year ago, Mr. Macron warned the Russian President when Mr. Putin visited France that the use of chemical weapons would be a red line leading to retaliation.
"I believe my red lines have been crossed," Macron told Putin in a phone call on 13 April, according to Macron's advisers.
Before the Syrian attack, Mr. Macron told Mr. Trump that France was ready to act alone if the US and UK retreated. This has increased the pressure for Mr. Macron to take quick action.
As head of state and commander-in-chief, Mr. Macron is more free than British Prime Minister Theresa May to deploy military forces.
Mr. Macron's high international status combined with his success in impressing the US President has restored France's pride, which is affected by socio-economic problems - the Telegraph commented.
A French diplomatic source said: "Mr. Macron is positioning France as the most effective European ally of the US, while Chancellor Angela Merkel is busy with internal political issues in Germany, while the UK is dominated by Brexit. He has made France a global player again."
Mr. Macron's planned visit to the US, which is said to be organized at Mrs. Melania Trump's request, will include a working meeting at the White House, a joint press conference with Mr. Donald Trump and a bird's nest party. Last year, Donald Trump and Mrs. Melania were solemnly welcomed by Mr. Macron and his wife in Paris.
Donald Trump also plans to invite Mr. Macron and his wife to attend a private dinner at Mount Vernon in Virginia. The French press described the invitation as a " rare honor".
The upcoming state visit to the US by French President Emanuel Macron is seen as a shock for British Prime Minister Theresa May, the world's first leader to visit Donald Trump at the White House.
