Within the framework of his official visit to the Russian Federation, on March 23, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the high-level Vietnamese delegation offered flowers at the Statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Ho Chi Minh Square, Moscow.
In a solemn atmosphere, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the working delegation commemorated President Ho Chi Minh, leader of the Vietnamese people, the outstanding leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the world communist movement, National Liberation Hero, outstanding cultural figure. President Ho Chi Minh is also mentioned as a great friend of the Russian people, the person who laid the foundation for friendly relations between the two countries.

The statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Moscow was inaugurated on May 18, 1990, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth, located in Akademichesky district. The project was designed by sculptor Vladimir Efimovich Tsigal and architect Roman Grigoryevich Kananin, inspired by the image of the sun and bamboo, symbolizing the vitality and will of the Vietnamese nation.
The main statue is cast in bronze and stone, depicting the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh in a circle symbolizing the sun. At the foot of the statue is the image of a Vietnamese man with details of bamboo and tropical fruits. On the pedestal is a Russian line: "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom".
This is not only an artwork but also a meeting and memorial place for the Vietnamese community in Russia and a destination for many international tourists, contributing to strengthening bilateral friendship.

After that, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation laid flowers at the Monument to Unknown Martyrs in Alexander Garden, on the west wall of the Kremlin. The project was inaugurated on May 8, 1967, commemorating the Red Army soldiers who sacrificed in the Great Patriotic War.
The memorial consists of a dark red porphyry stone block, decorated with a laurel branch and an iron hat on a bronze flag. In front is a five-pointed star with the Eternal Flame, symbolizing immortal memories. Under the flame is engraved the words: "No one knows your name, your victory is immortal".
The Kremlin Regiment's guard changing ceremony is held here for hours, becoming a solemn symbol attracting a large number of people and tourists.
