The Ukrainian military said on August 2 that it had attacked oil facilities inside Russia, including a large refinery as well as a military airport for drones and an electronics plant.
The Ukrainian Unmanned System said it had attacked a refinery in Ryazan, about 180km southeast of Moscow, leading to a fire at the facility.
Ukrainian Unmanned System Forces also attacked the Annanefte product oil storage facility invoronezh region, bordering northeastern Ukraine.
The statement did not specify how Ukraine attacked Russian oil and gas facilities. However, the Ukrainian Unmanned System Force specializes in drones, including long-range attacks.
On the same day, Ukraine's SBU intelligence agency said that its drones attacked Russia's Primorsko-akhtarsk military airport, which was used to launch long-range drones against targets in Ukraine.
The SBU also attacked a factory in Penza, which supplies electronic equipment to Russia's military-industrial complex.
In its daily report, the Russian Defense Ministry said that defense units shot down 338 Ukrainian drones overnight. The report did not say how many Ukrainian drones were launched at what time.
For its part, the Ukrainian air force announced that it had shot down 45 of the 53 Russian drones launched towards the country overnight.
The Russian Defense Ministry added that on the eastern front of Ukraine, Russian forces took the village of Oleksandro - Kalynove in the Donetsk region on August 2.
Russian forces now control nearly 20% of the territory in eastern and southeastern Ukraine after three and a half years of fierce fighting.
