RT reported that Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmigal stated that Ukraine is becoming the center of a new European order, calling for countries member countries to accelerate Ukraine's admission process as an official member.
Speaking at the EU Business Summit in Brussels (Belgium), Shmigal emphasized that Ukraine is not a buffer zone but a "new opportunity for Europe to re -explore its own identity".
According to Prime Minister Shmigal, a new European geopolitical structure is gradually forming around Ukraine. He called on Western European businesses to invest in Ukraine's natural resources, and emphasized the great potential for cooperation in areas such as restoring and using gas storage infrastructure, renewable energy, agriculture and information technology.
The Prime Minister added that Ukraine could become a "industrial heart of Europe", playing a role in the re -armed process and promoting EU defense autonomy.
Ukraine has been recognized as an EU candidate since 2022, just a few months after conflict with Russia to escalate. However, up to now, Brussels has not given a specific time limit for the admission process.
To join the Block, Ukraine needs to conduct comprehensive reforms in governance, strong commitment in the fight against corruption and adjust the legal system in accordance with the EU standards.
Becoming an official member also requires absolute consensus from all EU member countries, in which Hungary is still skeptical about admitting Ukraine.
Meanwhile, on the Russian side, the country resolutely protested against Ukraine to join NATO, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in February said that Moscow did not object to Ukraine's joining the EU.
"It is the sovereignty of each country. This is a matter of integration and economic processes, so no one can impose anything to any country, and Russia will not do that."
