At the invitation of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, President Luong Cuong attended the 80th Anniversary of the Naxiti Victory of the World People's Army and worked in China from September 2-4, 2025. This is also the first working trip to China by President Luong Cuong in his capacity as President.
Speaking to the press, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu said that the working trip of the President this time has three important meanings.
Firstly, as a typical country of the tireless fight for peace and justice, right after the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, President Luong Cuong's attendance at the 80th Anniversary of the Naxiti Victory of the World People's anthem shows Vietnam's responsibility and support for the efforts of the world people for peace, security and development.

Second, the working trip of President Luong Cuong took place right after the visit and attended the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 by Chief Justice of the National People's Army of China Zhao Lusi and the delegation of the Party, State of China and the Chinese Liberation Army. This demonstrates the "supporting shoulders" and mutual support between the two Parties and countries in the historic journey of the struggle for national liberation in the past as well as in the construction and development of the country today.
Third, this is an opportunity for the leaders of the two countries to continue to consolidate and realize the high-level common perception of further enhancing political trust, promoting substantive and mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields between the two countries, handling disagreements, maintaining a peaceful and stable environment for the development of each country, as well as contributing to the common development of the region and the world.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu said that Vietnam and China are two countries with great potential and strengths in cooperation. The two countries have a nearly 1,450km long land border, facilitating people-to-people exchanges and trade between the two countries, and have many similarities in culture, history and political system. The economies of the two countries have many complementary aspects. China is a major economy in the world with a consumer market of over 1 billion people, a technological power in many fields and an important voice in security and development. Vietnam is in a key stage of industrialization and modernization, setting a goal of 100-year development aspiration in the new era, the era of national growth.
It is the complementarities that require close cooperation between the two countries. According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu, in the future, the two sides need to implement practical and effective measures to promote the building of a community of sharing a future of strategic significance in the direction of "6 more": Continue to increase exchanges and sharing of experiences on economic development theories and orientations, strengthen coordination in multilateral forums to jointly respond to common challenges, resolve disagreements for security, peace and development of each country.
