This year's tournament promises to continue to bring top-level competitions, where young talents affirm their mettle, while experienced golfers demonstrate their class.
After 3 consecutive seasons held in Hai Phong, the tournament is coming to Gia Lai for the first time - a locality with great potential for golf and sports tourism development. The hosting of the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025 is also part of the province's strategy on shaping and developing the sports economy, diversifying tourism products.

At the press conference, golfer Nguyen Duc Son shared his opportunity to play golf: "My parents oriented me to play tennis. But one day before Tet, my father took me off the tennis court to go to the golf course. He found that I had the right qualities. When I was 6, my father asked me if I wanted to choose between tennis or golf, and I chose golf. Up to now, after 12 years, I have never regretted this decision."
Mr. Bui Trung Hieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DTC) of Gia Lai province, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Tournament - said that Gia Lai has great potential to develop golf, because owning an international-class golf course and the golf movement are also increasing in number of participants.
"We have organized many golf tournaments for local clubs. In the future, with the increasing love and if the cost of playing golf decreases, I believe golf will develop strongly," Mr. Hieu expressed.
Journalist Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, co-Head of the Organizing Committee - said: "After 3 years of organizing in Vu Yen, Hai Phong, we decided to bring the 2025 National Golf Championship to Gia Lai province with the beautiful FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon golf course, to bring a new experience to golfers.
Organizing the tournament away from Hanoi has caused us many difficulties in the preparation process, from travel to logistics. However, everything went well with the enthusiastic support of the provincial leaders and the smooth coordination of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, the Vietnam Golf Association and other units.
It can be affirmed that at this point, everything is ready and we are waiting for the first swing, starting a successful season".
