Coaches Nguyen Thai Duong, Bach Cuong Khang, Nguyen Duc Ngoc will accompany 26 Vietnamese golfers (16 men's, 10 women's) at the training program with international experts from August 5 to August 11. Athletes practice at Royal Long An Golf & Country Club in Tay Ninh.
The Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) said that in addition to domestic coaches, the program has two experts Ryan Lumsden and Scott Goldie accompanying the coaching of Vietnamese golfers. This is an important professional training program for golfers to prepare more for important tournaments, especially the 2025 National Golf Championship, said Mr. Vu Nguyen, General Secretary of the Vietnam Golf Association.
The goal of the training program is to increase the technical expertise, physical strength and competition mentality of the athletes; evaluate the actual performance, thereby developing appropriate international competition planning orientation; organize in-depth training sessions, evaluate the cold breast and analyze individual techniques, helping athletes adjust and improve competition efficiency.
The 2025 National Golf Championship will start on August 18. This year the tournament attracted 150 golfers to compete for the highest results in the men's and women's categories.
Athletes of the Vietnam Golf Team are given the opportunity to participate in the tournament and the competition results will be the basis for the manager to review the force registered to compete in the 33rd SEA Games.
