According to many reputable sources in Europe, Ronaldo's team has reached a transfer agreement with Feyenoord (Netherlands) about David Hancko's case, with an estimated fee of about 35 million euros (equivalent to 41 million USD).
Hancko, 27, is a multi-talented Slovakian defender. After completing his individual terms, he signed a 3-year contract (with an extension clause) and parted ways with his teammates at Feyenoord to go to Austria, where Al-Nassr is holding a pre-season training session.
However, when arriving at the gathering location, this player was suddenly treated like an "outside player". He was not allowed to stay in the same hotel as the team members, was denied the right to attend training sessions and was forced to stay separately. Just a few days later, Al-Nassr officially announced the termination of the deal and asked Hancko to return to Feyenoord.
Feyenoord technical advisor Raymond Salomon has criticized the Saudi Arabia representative's handling: "We have never seen a similar situation. Taking players to the training camp and then refusing to accept them is unacceptable."
The failed deal not only directly affected Hancko but also disrupted Feyenoord's transfer plan. The Dutch team previously planned to use the money raised from the Hancko deal to increase its force, but now all plans have been forced to be temporarily suspended.
As for Hancko, he has returned to Feyenoord's training center in Grassau (Germany), where he continues to practice with his teammates under the guidance of coach Robin van Persie. Hancko is expected to feature in the upcoming friendly matches against Nice, Wolfsburg and other opponents, in preparation for the Champions League qualifiers.
