According to the decision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Mobilization Committee for the establishment of the Vietnam Pickleball Federation will have 14 members.
The head of the mobilization committee is Mr. Le Van Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Dong Luc Joint Stock Company. The Deputy Head of the Mobilization Committee is Mr. To Duy - Chairman of the Board of Directors of XCE Energy Joint Stock Company, Chairman of the People's Public Security Pickleball Club.
The remaining 12 members come from the fields of sports, enterprises and social activities, telecommunications...
Previously, Mr. Le Van Thanh held the role of Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation and President of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation.
The Department of Physical Education and Sports of Vietnam said that the establishment of the Mobilization Committee for the establishment of the Vietnam Pickleball Federation will help complete the necessary procedures, build a charter and mobilize members to move towards organizing the Congress to establish the Federation. After the procedures are completed, the first Congress of the term (2025-2030) is expected to take place at the end of this year.
Pickleball is an attractive sport in Vietnam. Currently, the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports has stipulated this as a subject in the high-performance sports training program.
Vietnam has started organizing the National Pickleball Championship since 2024. In addition, club championships have been organized by the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports for the past 2 years.
