The 2026 Southeast Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship will take place in Singapore from April 14 to April 19.
The Vietnamese youth table tennis team registered 8 male players and 8 female players to participate in the tournament with the goal of striving to win a gold medal.
This year, the tournament continues to compete in events for the U15 and U19 age groups for men and women. The Vietnamese youth table tennis team registered a force including Nguyen Hoang Lam, Do Manh Luong, Nguyen Binh Tru, Nguyen Van Nam, Tran Dieu Linh, Bui Thi Thao Vy, Nguyen Nhu Quynh, Luong Bao Han (U19) and Vu Van Vuong, Dinh Trong Khoi Nguyen, Nguyen Huy Cuong, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Hoang Tra My, Le Hoang Linh Dan, Hoang Anh Nguyet, Ngo Thi Bao Ly (U15).
Last year, the Vietnamese youth table tennis team competed and won a gold medal in the U15 men's doubles event (Nguyen Van Tuan Anh, Nguyen Duc Viet) at the 2025 Southeast Asian Youth Championship.
This year's tournament continues to attract young players from many countries in Southeast Asia to participate, including Singapore (host), Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos... The tournament will compete in men's team, women's team, men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles according to age groups.
The tournament is also the first international competition program this year for Vietnamese table tennis. It is expected that this year the Vietnamese table tennis team will also participate in the 2026 Southeast Asian Championship to be held in December.
