In the match between the Philippines and Kazakhstan, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet was present at the Dong Anh District Gymnasium (Hanoi). The captain of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team attentively observed the performances of the two teams.
The reason why coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet attended this match is because the losing team in the above match will be the opponent of the Vietnam women's volleyball team in the semi-finals. As a result, the Philippines women's volleyball team defeated Kazakhstan with a score of 3-0.
Thus, defending champion Vietnam will face defending runner-up Kazakhstan in the semi-finals.
Sana's injury
Kazakhstan's main striker Sana Anarkulova suffered an ankle injury during a block in the match against Iran (June 11). She received first aid from the medical team and was transferred to the hospital for injury check-ups at that time.
