Top Vietnamese players compete in the 2025 US Open billiards tournament

Billiards Vietnam will participate in the US Open 2025 in the US to achieve the best results.

The Vietnamese billiards team participating in the US Open 2025 in the US from August 18 to August 23 includes Duong Quoc Hoang, Le Quang Trung, Luong Duc Thien, Pham Phuong Nam, Nguyen Hoang Tuan and Nguyen Anh Tuan.

Previously, the players participated in the Florida Open 2025 and battle of the Bull 2025 in the US.

On the last day of competition on August 16, local time of battle of the Bull 2025, Duong Quoc Hoang lost 5-11 to Johann Chua in the semi-finals, so he stopped.

After this match, Johann Chua competed and beat Shane Van Boening with a score of 13-8 in the final to win the championship trophy and a prize of 20,000 USD.

The 2025 US Open billiards tournament is a series of competitions in the World Nineball Tour system of the world's 9-buy pool event. This year, there are 256 players participating. The total prize of the tournament is 500,000 USD, the champion alone receives 100,000 USD.

At last year's tournament, player Duong Quoc Hoang entered the top 16 with the best results. US Open 2024 champion Fedor Gorst (USA) continues to participate in this year's tournament to defend his number one position.

In the Battle of the Bull 2025 tournament, Duong Quoc Hoang defeated Fedor Gorst with a score of 9-6 in the round of 16.

On the world ranking of Matchroom, player Duong Quoc Hoang is the Vietnamese athlete with the highest ranking, 28th, Luong Duc Thien is ranked 72nd, Pham Phuong Nam is ranked 77th.
