The HBSF Tour billiards tournament 2 MIN Table Cup 2025 takes place from July 31 to August 5 at the Sports Service Center (215C Ly Thuong Kiet, Phu Tho Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). This is a tournament organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation (HBSF), which has affirmed its position in the Vietnamese billiards community in recent years, and is considered the "World Cup of Vietnamese billiards".
Tour 2 is organized with 4 events including: 3-cushion carom men's, 3-cushion carom women's, 9-cushion men's pool and 9-cushion women's pool gathering nearly 500 players to participate, gathering not only the top players in Vietnam but also international guests.
On August 5, the tournament held 4 finals in all 4 events. In the final match of the men's 3-cushion carom event, Tran Quyet Chien competed with Dinh Quang Hai. This was a match in which both players played with a tight game, fighting for points for most of the first half.
In the second half, Quang Hai took the lead 36-30. After that, Quyet Chien with a 7-point series reversed the match, taking a lead of 40-36 before winning 50-41 after 32 turns, thereby winning the HBSF Tour 2 championship in 2025.
With this result, Quyet Chien won the championship with a prize of 50 million VND. Dinh Quang Hai with the runner-up position received 20 million. The two players Bao Phuong Vinh and Nguyen Nhu Le tied for third place, each player received 15 million VND. Tran Thanh Luc received the Series award for excellence and Nguyen Nhat Hoa received the Best Game award, each award receiving 5 million VND.
In the final of the 9-a-side pool event for men, former national champion Nguyen Hoang Minh Tai showed his class with a 11-4 victory over Chau Chieu Minh. Winning the championship, Minh Tai received 50 million VND. Chau Chieu Minh won the runner-up prize of 20 million VND. Ngo Hong Thang and Truong Nguyen Dinh Huan won third place and received 10 million.
In the women's 3-cushion carom event, Nguyen Thi Thu Hien won an overwhelming victory with a score of 30-12 after 36 turns against Nguyen Thi Bich Tram to be crowned champion. Thu Hien received 10 million VND. Runner-up Bich Tram received 5 million VND. Phung Kien Tuong and Nguyen Thi Lien tied for third place and received 2 million VND/person. Nguyen Duc Yen Sinh received the Best Game award while Nguyen Thi Lien received the Outstanding Series award, each award received 1 million VND.
Finally, in the 9-a-side women's pool event, Bui Xuan Vang won overwhelmingly 7-1 against Kieu Tuyet Nhung, thereby receiving 10 million VND for the champion. Tuyet Nhung finished second and received 5 million VND. Nguyen Thi Phuong Uyen and Huynh Thi Ngoc Huyen received 2 million VND for two third-place players. The players in the top 8 received 1 million VND.
In addition, also at the award ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation awarded 5 players of the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker team who won gold medals in the 2025 national finals, including: Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu (3-cushion carom), Bui Xuan Vang (pool 9 women's bi), Nguyen Tang Doan Anh Dung (billiards English), Nguyen Thi Lien (3-cushion carom women's) and Duong Quoc Hoang (pool 10 men's bi).
Thus, HBSF Tour 2 in 2025 has concluded with the determination of 4 champions in the events. The tournament has created a professional and meticulous playground for Vietnamese and international players to compete and improve their professional skills. HBSF Tour 3 2025 is expected to take place in October 2025.
