On March 26 at Tay Ho Gymnasium (Hanoi), the remaining badminton players of Vietnam took turns to participate in their matches in men's singles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.
Player Le Duc Phat is the last person from the host Vietnam to compete in the 3rd round of men's singles on March 26. Despite trying his best, Duc Phat did not dominate against opponent Kim Hae Deun (Korea).
The two players had to compete for 1 hour and 10 minutes, through 3 sets, to finish. In the end, Le Duc Phat lost 1-2 (16-21, 21-19, 15-21).
Players Nguyen Tien Minh, Nguyen Hai Dang, Phan Phuc Thinh competed in men's singles in previous rounds but were eliminated due to losses. In women's singles, Vietnamese badminton witnessed Vu Thi Trang and Bui Bich Phuong being eliminated.
For the women's doubles event, 2 leading Vietnamese players, Pham Thi Khanh and Pham Thi Dieu Ly, will compete in the 2nd round against the Japanese pair (seed number 8).
However, the level between the two sides is different. Therefore, the two Vietnamese players accepted a 0-2 defeat to their opponents. Pham Thi Khanh and Pham Thi Dieu Ly are also the last Vietnamese players to compete in women's doubles.
In the men's and women's doubles round 2 competition, two players Pham Thi Khanh, Tran Dinh Manh of the host Vietnam lost to the Thai pair (seed number 1) with a score of 0-2, so they were eliminated.
Host Vietnam has representatives competing in men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles at the Vietnam International Challenge 2026 Badminton Tournament but did not achieve the highest results. The tournament will close on March 29.
In early April, the Vietnamese badminton team will depart for China to compete in the 2026 Asian Championships.
