Phase 2 of SEA V.League 2025 ended on the evening of July 20 in Indonesia. In this match, the Vietnam men's volleyball team excellently won the silver medal.
In addition, Vietnamese athletes also left a strong impression. In the outstanding squad of the second phase just announced, the two names Nguyen Ngoc Thuan and Tran Duy Tuyen continue to participate, once again affirming their pivotal role in the journey to win silver medals of the Vietnam team.
Ngoc Thuan received the title of "Best Striker". This hitter played explosively throughout the tournament, scoring a total of 69 points - equal to Boy Arnez Arabi (Indonesia), who was honored as "Best Player" of the tournament.
With this achievement, Ngoc Thuan and Arabi jointly own the title of top scorer. The excellence of the Thai Binh player comes not only from powerful attacks across all blocks, but also from the leadership on the field, keeping the team's spirit through each key match.
Not far behind, middle blocker Tran Duy Tuyen also had an impressive performance as she was in the top 3 best scorers of the Vietnam team. He scored a total of 35 points, including 10 successful blocks, contributing significantly to the effective counter-attacking defense that the team pursued in this year's tournament.
With stable performance, Duy Tuyen is one of the two best middle blockers in the second stage, completing a double title in this year's tournament.
SEA V.League 2025 ended with the championship belonging to Indonesia, Vietnam won the runner-up position and Thailand finished in third place. However, the continued presence of two players in the same outstanding squad in the first phase affirmed the progress of the Vietnam men's volleyball team in both collective and individual aspects.
